Dr. Ying-Ju Chen received her undergraduate degree in Biology from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Continuing her education in Nova Southeastern University, Dr. Chen attended and graduated with honors from the NSU College of Optometry. Dr. Chen is a member of the National Honor Society Beta Sigma Kappa.

Dr. Chen is experienced in the treatment and management of eye diseases. Her career objective is to practice optometry in a diverse clinical facility while proactively increasing her optometric skills and knowledge. In her spare time, Dr. Chen enjoys traveling, treasure hunting, and sampling exotic fruits.

Dr. Steven Thurston is originally from the Central Coast of California. He attended California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, CA where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree. Dr. Thurston then attended Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL and received his Bachelor of Vision Science degree in 2007 and his Doctor of Optometry in 2009. He has the distinction of graduating with honors and is a member of the National Honor Society Beta Sigma Kappa. His optometric training includes an externship at Clayton Eye Centers in Atlanta, GA and Eye Centers of South Florida in North Miami Beach, both of which provided extensive training in a large array of ocular disease conditions. In his spare time, Dr. Thurston enjoys hiking, backpacking, waterskiing, snow skiing and traveling.
